I co-developed one for the HP 200LX palmtop:
[a href=\"http://www.dasoft.com/MMLX]http://www.dasoft.com/MMLX[/url]
(with a description of general mindmapping).

It's a great way to organize minds, ideas etc. graphically, similar to the structure of minds in your brain, thus very intuitive.

Very interesting. I'm pretty sure I've never seen anything like it for the Z, though.

There's a great java based free mind mapping package for Linux called FreeMind.

There's also a java applet available that enables you to embed FreeMind mindmaps in a web page so they can be viewed by any java enabled browser.  Firefox works great.

I think it's so cool.

Maybe someone skilled in the art could compile it for the Zaurus?

More info at:

http://freemind.sourceforge.net (http://freemind.sourceforge.net)

I've put an example FreeMind mindmap up at:

www.assoc.prestel.co.uk

Click the nodes to drill down for more detail & click again to close them.

There's VYM (http://www.insilmaril.de/vym/) but it runs on pdaXrom (see here : https://www.oesf.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=16627&hl=vym (https://www.oesf.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=16627&hl=vym))
And I don't know if it runs under cacko + x/qt.

Looking really nice - almost like freemind, but there isn't package for OpenZaurus

Do anybody mean that some 1.4 java VM port to openzaurus is possible?

I just tried the VYM package on pdaxrom.
But I found it impossible to work with it efficiently (but maybe I have just not seen the options I need). For example creating a complete map without once using the stylus or navigating throught the menus isn't possible, because you'd need the "Insert" key, which is not available on the Zaurus (the Fn-Cut/Copy/Paste keys don't work).

Any known solutions to that?

Thanks
daniel
