does anyone know where I can get the old thunderbird 0.6 ipk file from?

never mind, I found it. I should have looked in the right feed

however, now that I got it running, there is no text except for the title? all my menus are blank. how can I fix that?

well, I exported my display to a solaris machine and ran thunderbird remotely and all works fine, so the problem is a local X font config thing. I am thinking that either fontconfig, pango or gtk-2.0 is at fault, but I am unable to determine which of those is
