Title: Sharp Sl 5000 Power Problem
Post by: hyspah on May 05, 2005, 05:45:21 am
Hello Zaurus Users,

I need help, am in deep troble,

I manage to flash my zaurus with the zimage and initrd.bin files in the /mnt/cf directory,
but was not successful, what happened was that after press C+D and Full Reset both the battary light and mail light come on for just about a second and every thing went off,

For about three days now i can just put on the Zaurus, every thing has gone completely off, not even the battary light comes on when i plug in the A/C adapter.

any one with an idea, as to what i should do?

I am suspecting the Bios and the Battary inside the Zaurus, but am not very sure.

I really need to fixed it cuz i have been able to use it ever since i bought it, this problem happened that very day i had the Zaurus.

Please some one should help me out.

Not sure this will work.

Unplug the mains power
Take out the CF Card.
Take out the Battery. Wait a minute or 2, replace making sure you have it the correct way round ( too easy to insert it the wrong way )
re-connect the mains power.
Press and hold D+P hit the reset button.
hopefully you should get the diagnostic screen up.

Just try flashing again.

Check the filenames and md5sums are correct.
