Title: Sharp Cf Camera

Hi

I was just wondering whether the sharp camera is also a webcam, or if it only manages to take still images...

Will it work under other platforms than the Sharp ROM?

Both Sharp-Camera and Opie-Camera run on SharpROM derived distributions and on OpenZaurus. Opie-Camera also captures video and features a command line application hence it could be used as a webcam, however - depending on resolution - you only get very few (typically 3-8) frames per second out of it. This is either a problem of the driver or in the hardware itself. In general - it's lousy.
