Title: Opie Oz 3.5.3 On A 5600 Wifi (symbol) Not Working
Post by: astrx99 on May 13, 2005, 02:42:21 pm
so i recently got a 5600 as a gift, and for some reason the first thing i did was put 3.5.3 on it. now it doesnt recognize my wifi cf (symbol spectrum 24).

i tried cardctl info and got:
prod id 1=symbol
2= spectrum24 la4100 series wlan pc card
3= 1.00
4=""
manfid=026c,0001
funcid=6
manfid=0000,0000
funcid=255

i tried cardctl status and got
socket 0:
  3.3v 16-bit pc card
  function 0: ready
socket 1:
  no card

can anyone help me with this? i am pretty new to the zar world, but the card definitely worked with the old OS (older opie)

thanks to everyone out there

I beleive you need to install the orinoco drivers from the feed. spectrum_cs for the spectrum card is in that package.

sorry for the dumb question, but i went to the opie website and saw that "they are no longer in the feed business" so where do i go for the spectrum-cs stuff?
