Hello,
I have installed Frodo for Zaurus (C64 emulator) on my SL-C3000. Have installed the frodo IPK and the frodogui IPK. I have had installed libsdl 1.2.6cvs and have also tried with libsdl 1.2.5cvs, but no luck at all.
Also the ROM files are copied to /opt/QtPalmtop/bin/frodo and renamed as described on the Frodo homepage ("Kernal ROM", "Char ROM", "1541 ROM" and "Basic ROM").
Starting from the icon, it shows a white screen an "Please wait" in vertical mode forever (although screen is in landscape mode).
Unchecking the magnified screen switch, it starts without "Please wait" and without screen rotation, but on the left hand side of the screen, about 1/5 of the screen turns black and the rest remains what it was before: The QTopie desktop. I have to press the reset button.
If I run it from the console, it has the same effect, but I can still stop Frodo pressing the menu key and when returning into the console I get folowing output:
"Display size = 480x640
Frodo V4.1b by Christian Bauer
Init SDL
SDL set video mode to 384 x 298
Alas, master, no preference windo will be available.
If you wish to see one, make sure the 'wish' interpreter
(Tk version >= 4.1) is installed in your path.
You can still use Frodo, though. Use F10 to quit,
F11 to cause an NMI and F12 to reset the C64.
You can change the preferences by editing ~/.frodorc"
Where can I download a version of wish for the Zaurus?
And: will this solve my problem? the warning actually says lack of wish should not be the reason. But what else can cause this ehaviour?
I have an SL-C3000 with Cacko ROM 1.23 beta1.
Thank you
daniel

The same Thing happened to me with Znester. EG black line on the left of the screen with Qtopia taking up the left of the screen. I read in another forum post to use the libSDL from atty's site. I installed it and it displayed correctly. I think atty's site is www.atty.jp

Thanks! Now, with the latest libsdl 1.2.5 from atty.jp, Frodo starts, at least, with "magnified screen", I see the bottom bar (status of drives etc). But I see no C64 Basic promt and the screen is black. I have checked the ROM file names and they seem to be correct. I started in root mode, but to no avail.
Any ideas?
Do I need a valid t64 or d64 file configured for onw of the drives in order to get the C64 to boot? I thought this is not necessary...
Thanks
daniel
