Hi,
just downloaded iptables module from rp website; but when modprobing the module, I get the following error:
# modprobe ip_tables
Using /lib/modules/2.6.11/kernel/net/ipv4/netfilter/ip_tables.ko
insmod: cannot insert `/lib/modules/2.6.11/kernel/net/ipv4/netfilter/ip_tables.ko': Unknown symbol in module (-1): No such file or directory
modprobe: failed to load module ip_tables
Ideas to get iptables working ?

updated also kernel?
-
well, not the latest; I've got 2.6.11 from 2005.05.06; some -r16 modules also work. while the downloaded iptables are -r19
1) Should I reflash to new kernwl then ? I thought that any 2.6.11 would be compatible, being the -rXX just informative, but no incompatible
2) Where is the announcement when a new kernel is posted, with its changelog and backward compatability ?
-
Basically new kernel modules needs new kernel as some parts of support have to be enabled also there.
Changelog can be seen in OE metadata (http://openembedded.bkbits.net/ when it will be back online)

Just upgraded, and I'm facing the same problem; I was wondering if anyone has actually make it work, to verify the problem is on my side before going through a complete reinstall ...
