Title: Openbsd 3.7 Released
Post by: wormwood on May 20, 2005, 12:47:15 pm
OpenBSD 3.7 was released yesterday with support for the 3k. Anyone tried it yet? How's it thus far?

Inquiring minds want to know!

OBSD runs on C3K/C1K for awhile now. Hardware support is not yet complete, but knowing dedication of these folks, rest assured it's getting there. If you live in BSD world, what keeps you from trying to install it and seeing for yourself?

I tried the version from May 17, and I'm not able to start X Window (startx)...

It keeps shutting down (X connection broken...)

I'm using a C3k.

But I must say I've never used X before... I'm still using pine to read my mails  but I must say Thunderbird does look sexy.

School finals

I'm aware that development has been going on for awhile. 3.7 is the first release to *officially* support the Zaurus. Also, I know that the port was at it's current state before the 3.7 release ..was just wondering what people who have tried it thus far had to say.
