Title: Dead Sl5500
Post by: DLAlexander on May 22, 2005, 08:24:59 pm
I think I've got a brick!  I was (re)flashing my Zaurus,(something I do "too often" according to my wife!) when the power went out mid flash.  The lights on th Z went out, and now it won't do anything.  No lights, no power, nothing.  I was reflashing the original Sharp ROM when this happened.  Is there anything (short of returning the thing to Sharp for repair) I can do, or is it a lost cause?

If you're lucky the bootloader & flashing software will have already been written, try flashing something again and see if it works, otherwise you might need to send it off to Sharp.

Out of interest, did the lights on the Z go off immediately the power went?

They actually blinked twice, then went out.  I guess I should plug ALL the power connectors into my UPS!! (hindsite is allways 20/20  )
