Title: Happiness Is A Steady Green Light....
Post by: tombraider on May 25, 2005, 07:37:08 pm
Okay,  somehow (despite being a clueless newbie to Open Zaurus),  I managed to install the required ipks to get a steady green light on my Sandisk Connect Plus card!  I am very happy.

If someone could help me figure out how to install ipks properly with "linkage" that works,  I would be supremely happy.

The ipks seem to be installing in an odd place - media/card/packages/opt/QtPalmtop...at least I think the "packages" folder is odd and I can't find OpieMail at all in files manager searches even though I installed it.  OpieReader, ZUC, Email and Opera have icons which do nothing when clicked on.

I have a 64-0, Opie install on a 5500.

Thanks for any help.

You selected to install the packages to the SD card (which is fine).

Now run 'ipkg-link mount /media/card/packages' which will symlink the files into the correct locations on /.
