Title: Opieplayer2 Will Not Start
Post by: herbivore on May 26, 2005, 10:55:00 am
I installed opie media player, and all the skins, but when I try to start it, it says  "Quicklauncher invoked as: opieplayer2" but that is all it does.  I installed it to root, which is on sd.  If someone could just tell me where to start at least, that would be great.

Tried, my best, now I have uninstalled it, and installed xmms, and mplayer. They work alright, I guess.

I'd have started by trying to run it from the command line.

Quicklauncher invoked as: opieplayer2

That is where this message appears.  It doesn't say anything else, no error messages, no anything, it just sits there.  Since trying to launch it from the icon just results in a forever bouncing icon, I didn't bother to mention it.

If you have a large storage card it can take ages before the main window is displayed as it searches everywhere for things which it can play.

I'd then look at the ouput of 'ps' to see if it's running.

Other than that I'm not sure.

Well,  if I let it go long enough, the z will lock up untill I either flip the batt switch or ssh in and kill the quicklauncher.  I must have something screwy in my setup, beyond what I have the time to find, so I will just let it go for now, it's alright.
