Title: Cacko 1.23 Rom Icons And Logo
Post by: maslovsky on May 31, 2005, 10:46:53 am: Cacko 1.23 ROM is now at the stage when I can successfuly boot my C1000 to it. Since it will be a somewhat new version, I was wondering if someone could help me to create a new look and feel for it. Here is what we need:

1. A Qtopia boot LOGO: 640x480 24 bpp BMP
2. A wallpaper image - a 640x480 PNG
3. Icons - a set of cool icons for the built-in applications (48x48)
4. Kernel boot logo - dont know the exact size, but somethng like 640x120

Are there any takers? I'm pretty sure I won;t be able to find anyt replcement for the existing icons/logos, so it we don;t find anything, I'll just keep whatever we have in 1.22.

It would like to have a plain simple grey qtopia background with icons matching the tux colors (black and yellow).

Well I like it simple yet elegant.

I actually quite like that for a startup screen.

Not that I ever see it. I think I've only rebooted my Z a half dozen times since I got it.

I think it's safe to say that most people will want a little more eye candy in the general rom than DRDR is suggesting, though.

But maybe we could use themes to spice it up and add a splash of colour etc for people who like it bright and beautiful ad minimalistic for guys like me...

But well, I dont want to make this thread a discussion of what style and what background to use - I will take whatever maslovsky can get from others and whatever he builds in. Ultimately its the ROM that matters (the functionality) for me.
