yes
2. which player are you using?
kino2 with mplayer (immx and bvdd support) from atty
3. what's the resolution then? 640x480 or 320x240?
both work fine, but I usually use 320x340 to get smaller files

I encode to 15 frames/sec, ogg vorbis at 22000 khz at encoding level 3 for animation, and 20 - 25 for tv or movies

i have a c1000 on the way, ill ahve a tutorial up for the c1000 up and running as soon as possible.
maybee a week.--default player from what i read does mpeg4 so it should not be a problem
here..try this video
http://webpages.charter.net/cresho/ (http://webpages.charter.net/cresho/)
it is made for the zaurus sl5500 and it will look nasty but it plays smoothly.
for the c1000 i know i can boost framrate and resolution to a tolerable and enoyable view.
just test out the file. it is very efficient on an sd card sl5500
