sharp trubleshotting sugested using it to reset....
seems odd to me
also, is it bad to take the zaurus out of the cradle when the windows "see" it?

I use the little plastic bit that sticks out of the cover to press the reset button all the time.
Never thought about it breaking, I suppose if it did I'd be in trouble.
It just seems natural tho, the button is about the same size and shape as the little plastic bit for the lock.

10x
me was talking not about the phisical sense, but in terms of system.
I mean I wouldn't click reset my linux box, when the system is up, now would I

Resetting doesn't hurt anything except for killing anything running(hope you saved).
On a hard reset the ROM is copied from flash again anyway(for the stock sharp ROM), so no worries about corruption, although you do lose customizations. (That's what backups are for)
And no Taking the Z out of the cradle won't hurt anything either(unless you're using mass storage, in which case you should always unmount it.)
