Hello,
I have connected the Z with setting "PC Link Setting, USB - TCP/IP advanced" to a PC which hasn't seen the Z before.
driver installation automatically installed a driver from X:\USBdrivers\Serial on the CD and if I connect the Zaurus, device manager shows an USB device "SL series 3 (WDM)". No TCP connection possible.
I think it installed the wrong driver, as on my laptop the device was called differently and I think I installed a driver from X:\USBdrivers\Network (and there the connection works fine).
What can I do now? Deinstalling the driver does not help, as Windows installs exactly the same one automatically again if I connect the Z.
Also "updating" the driver via hardware manager does not help, also the same driver is found and installed again.
Can anybody help?
Thanks a lot
daniel

You need to manually install the driver from USBDrivers\Network.
There should be an option when updating the driver to "tell windows where the driver is located" or some such wording, select that then you'll need tell windows to use the driver from Network rather than serial - windows will complain that "this driver isn't designed for the hardware and might not work" - ignore that and install it.
The other option is to remove the driver from Device Manager, then go to \Windows\System32\Drivers\Inf files (or something like that - sorry I'm at home so don't have access to a windows machine) you will need to turn on "view system/hidden files" in folder options to find it.
