Hi there
The folks at Akihabara News from JAPAN (http://www.akihabaranews.com) just wrote a very short review (they call it a Photo Album) of the 3100, you can access to this review here
http://www.akihabaranews.com/en/revue_54.html (http://www.akihabaranews.com/en/revue_54.html)
Of course this review is in English, they already tested the 3000 and didn't wanted to rewrite an article for the 3100 since very few hardware change has been made...
Enjoy !

very nice! any chance we can get the mapping stuff (Mobile Map)? it looks like it supports routing
-
MobileMap is a commercial program and can be purchased seperately from Sharp. I don't know if it would be that useful outside of Japan, though... its search and map download features are designed to work with Sharp's navigation service (which requires a monthly fee).
I made the mistake of purchasing it before I bought my C3100 (and hence effectively paid for it twice). It's a decent program, but it could be better; I'm looking to start using qpegps instead.

hi,
I can see that the power adapter (EA-75) that come with the SL-C3100 is different from the one that came with my SL-C1000 (EA-72). Can the EA-75 be used in Europe at last ?
See the picture of the EA-75 attached for some specs.
-
From the pic it is a 100-240V 50-60Hz ac adapter which means it can work everywhere (most of Europe is 220V from memory), the only sticking point woul be the plug size/shape, but there are a bunch of adapters available for that.

off to store to buy EA-75 for next trip out of Japan

To avoid the rainy season and to buy shoes that fit.
