Title: pb flashing cacko ROM
Post by: ppfundst on January 30, 2004, 08:49:35 am
Hi!

I was trying to replace the Cacko\'s X11 rom by the Cacko\'s QTopia one on a SL 860.

I followed the instructions in Cacko\'s site, most notably, extracted the 3 files at the root of my SD (or CF, tried both, both failed), and remove battery and press Ok an power on.
I do have the japanese menu, I choose option 4, Zaurus asks me where to flash, I choose SD (or CF) and then, instead of flashing, it gives me another message in japanese, with ok as the only option and does nothing.

What did I do wrong?

I NAND restore an original 860 ROM and tried again, and fails...

Anybody has any clue?

Thanks!

Ok, I found it!

It was my fault! I didn\'t follow the instructions closely enough! I was not plugged in the AC power!!

I guess it was the japanese message was all about! It would help if I could read japanese :=)

Sorry for the annoyance!
