Title: I Am Running Snes9x
Post by: Cresho on July 24, 2005, 09:08:15 pm
Hey guys.

I spent the last 2 weeks avoiding finishing up some themes for zaurusthemes.org.  I am so excited because i figured out why most people have been having problems with framerate problems runnine z emu ex with snes9x.

There is one thing i have lift to do before i put out all the information for newbies to finaly be able to play full framerate smooth 60fps with no problems at all.

you get-
fullscreen
no loss in fps
can enable special effects according the snes9x

but i need one favor from you guys.  i been posting in wierd places on this subject

how the hell can i invert the emulator so the image looks upside down?  yes thats right....upside down in portrait mode.  I need to know the commands since i can't find any commands that will work.

thanks.  If nobody can help me, i have a second solution but i preffer the first one.

if not, then im gona spend a whole month figuring out how the snes9x file makes the image and add force flip of somekind to it and i preffer someone give me a little help here.

I have no clue as to why you'd _want_ it upside down, but if that's what you really want ...

afaik, The libSDL that you use affects this.

I do know that the "export SDL_QT_INVERT_ROTATION=1" to your /home/QtPalmtop/qpe.sh will affect various things.   You can change the value there to get different results.  Also, the qpe.sh in there can affect things too.

Hi
i think you have 2 version of LibSDL ( 1.2.5 & 1.2.6 ) uninstall 1.2.6 will solve you trouble i think

Wow.. does it really run at 60fps?
Anyways, I have a few questions about this...

1) Will it support Cacko, OpenZaurus and pdaXrom?
2) Is this 60fps with or without sound?

Thanks, this looks like it will be great!

check the post i put up, some guy is running it incacko.  i would try without the keyhelper first because maybee maslovski did something.  if you get lowsy framerate, install the keyhelper files.  there are cacko users running this small monster.

i want to ask what is the difference?
i have your keyhelper file before and the repeater setting is just like what you wrote in the thread...
anyway, i am quite satisfied with the emulator  and thx for your great work

Well, I am not sure if there is a difference.  The reason why i ask not to install keyhelper first is because maslovsky has been polishing the sharprom really nicely and i figured he implimented something like keyhelper in place.  So trying to run the snes emu without it should reveal something but it still doesnt hurt installing keyhelper at all.  I was just curious as to if it would work or not.
