Title: Xmms: Max Filesize Video & Fullscreen
Post by: Sam Hell on July 25, 2005, 03:36:25 pm
Hi there,

i tried to play a few Videos on my C750 the last Days and noticed
the following:

- a Video in 320x240 plays good, but not Fullscreen. If
i switch to "Software Zoom" i have about 2-3 FPS.
If i use a 640x480 Video it plays with 6-8FPS (Sound plays normal
speed). Is there anywhere a workaround for getting it Fullscreen?
(im talking about mpg-videos)

- what is the max Filesize you ever get running? (mpg, 320x240)
Because i tried a 200mb-File and XMMS just crashed

Greetz,
Nico

As far as I know, the Z hasn't got enough video RAM to support the sort of acceleration needed for a decent frame rate at 640x480.  Seems like a very annoying design flaw.

Here's a script for recoding and playing videos on Z in 320x240. I hope you find it useful.

I just recoded a 1,5hours movie, it's 168,3MB. This works fine, but I never had bigger files than this.
