Where can download tkcrom? community.zarurus is down, is there any mirror or feed out there?
-
See the \"ZUG Downloads\" in the menu bar above? Click it!
-
the zug downloads section only has the tkcroms for the 5x00 series. I\'ve offered for proto to host the c7x0 roms (or mirror) them on the ZUG, but he\'s always declined because of potential licensing issues, or something like that. He felt that the protection of the Sharp site was needed.

Ah, missed that detail! After seeing Spencer\'s post, that (and other) projects are going to change or die. I hope it is the former.

I have a copy of a cxx0 tkc rom on my desktop, but I honestly don\'t remember which version it is (are there more than one right now?). I\'ll upload it to the downloads area now.
I\'m sure someone has these tkcroms downloaded somewhere... if you do, please PM me and I will give you an ftp account to upload them... that way I can add them to the download section.
Thanks

thanks for the replies... and also thanks to absentia... I got the files and have uploaded them to the server...
you can now find the tkcrom for the c7x0 and c8x0 series in ZUG downloads ] Roms ] thekompany

Hey all,
Just picked up an SL-5600 and after a few days of messing with the thing, I thought I\'d checkout theKompany ROM, but I don\'t see a ROM for the 5600 in the ZUG Downloads, and the community.zaurus.com site is down.
Anyone have the latest stable tkcROM for the 5600 they would be willing to share?
BTW, great site here!

ok... the files I got from absentia was the 221 version which apparently had bluetooth problems...
richin was able to get me the 251 version for the c750/760 (thanks!), but I still need the 251 version for the c860... please pm me if you have it...
thanks

Is there any other known problems with 221.
-
No not really but bluetooth simply won\'t work at all.
The biggest change in 2.5.1 was that most of the apps were taken out of the rom and are made available via a feed (which you can\'t log into with any other rom)

Im running 221 and now when I try to type anything, I get red squares? anybody know what the problem is?
-
Yes but I can\'t remember whether it was just in the info screen or not.
This rom was a prototype and had a few bugs it\'s best to use the new one that offroadgeek has placed in the downloads.

I dont think 2.5.1 is there for the c860. Do you know where I can find it right now? Thanks
-
Use the one thats here but use an 860 updater.sh and it will work o.k

You made my day.

I tried to download from the mirror here but it now says its not on this server anymore. Problems after problems...anybody know where I can get a copy of the tkcrom for the 860 or 760 ver 2.5.1

thanks a bunch
-
Thanks a lot!
-
Ok... with the help of richin, we now have in the zug downloads area a tkc251 rom zip file with the initrd.bin and an updater.sh that should work with the 750/760/860.
sorry about the link... i goofed it up... now it\'s fixed and pointing to the right file tkcrom_cxx0-251.zip (http://www.zaurususergroup.com/modules.php?op=modload&name=UpDownload&file=index&req=getit&lid=177)

is the 251 worth mirroring at all?
zaurus.spy.org/roms
zaurus.spy.org/roms/tkc
etc

yes.. that\'s the good one... apparently it\'s the 221 that\'s not worth mirroring

There\'s also a file in that dir called tkcrom_cxx0.zip (IIRC) which contains a zImage. Which kernal is this? I didn\'t think that proto had released a kernal but I may have just missed it.
