Zautrix has a moto-linux phone and he loves it. I think it's garbage.
It's quite feature-rich, but it's got serious usability issues: as soon as you open the flip, the dpad becomes useless, things like that.

Everyone I know who's bought a Moto phone starts out thinking it's great: usually lots of features, responsive etc... but then... they discover that the user interface has nasty niggles, and the phone starts falling apart.
That said, when I was on the Hutchison 3G trial in the UK, I had a Moto A810 (I think), and apart from the appalling battery life and the size of the phone, it was actually not bad.. probably because they had to try extra hard to get Three to sign them up.

I think you mean the A860 (not sure, obviously).
And yes they'll have to make some kind of effort towards usability if they don't have a touchscreen.
