Title: Matchbox Stroke: Anyone Tried It?
Post by: pm22 on July 29, 2005, 11:19:43 am
I've found a new post on the matchbox website describing
matchbox stroke, a derivative of xstroke.

Supposedly it's another handwriting recognition
app.

They post a video clip of the stroke running on SL-Cxx.

http://projects.o-hand.com/matchbox/media/mb-stroke.avi (http://projects.o-hand.com/matchbox/media/mb-stroke.avi)

Looks pretty nice. At least an alternative to rosetta,
maybe even a better one  ?

Anyone has any comments?

mb-stroke is targeted to replace xstroke, not to replace rosetta. It will only do single char recognition. The movie is a bit misleading. Mb-stroke will make it easier to do UTF8 and uses XML to store strokes.

The device was my c700

well, rosetta is so slow and bad-working comparing with xstrike that a new xstroke sounds awesomw... going to compile it

EDIT: mmm... unreleased yet... I'll wait a few days
