my battery's life was getting worse and worse until it eventually died. Couldn't get anything from it at all (no LED even with AC connected) but it does exhude a lot of hear above the battery.
Anyways, I bought another battery but that makes no difference. It seems well and truly bricked despite not having flashed it... Reset+C+D has no effect and the lights won't come on.
What's the next step? I suppose something could have fried inside it - so any tips on repairers (Europe wide)?

Try to take out the battery for 5 minutes. put it back in, flip the switch, plug in ac power, let it charge over night.

if you have a charger light come on, you might have some hope.
first off.
recharge battery.
then
after its fully charged, remove battery and also click on reset. LEave zaurus alone for a day and then come back and click on reset again. then put the charged battery in and give it a try.

Nope no light at all from the LEDs Maybe some powersurge killed it as I use it in the car quite a bit.

yeah i read somewhere that you are not suppose to keep the lighter power pluged into the zaurus when starting a car.

So could that have completely killed the Zaurus then? Is there actually any point still trying with it and should I start trawling ebay for a replacement?
