Post by: bam on August 03, 2005, 03:49:35 pm
anyone have this or know where I can get it, there are certian keys that dont act very nice, ie the bullett Alt+D gives a "?", I want to remap the keyboard exactly how its layed out, well minus the non english chr's those I will notoate in the xml for those who want to re-assign them.

So which unicode chr set does the Z use?

By default the zaurus use utf-8, if you are getting ? instead of the character you press then the font you are using doesn't have that character in it.

I think the ・is Japanese punctuation character and doesn't occur in the European section of the unicode, but I'm not 100% certain on that.

Try using lcfont as it should support all of the characters on the zaurus.

I also found some interesting files on the z

1. keycode.tbl in /home/QtPalmtop/etc
2. keysymbols in same as above

these appear to give at least some hints as to keycodes and symbol codes
