Hey,
I\'ve done quite a bit of searching but can\'t find anything abour restoring the Sharp ROM\'s to th 5600. Everything seems to point back to the 5500 and using the OSPACK, which is not available in any of the 5600 download packages.
That said, I downloaded the 1.32 ROM and it contains:
initrd.bin
mversion.bin
zImage.bin
update.sh
Are these sufficient to restore the Z back to the orginal Sharp 1.32 ROM? I\'m really looking forward to experimenting with other ROM\'s but just want to be sure that I can go back to the basics...
Thanks in advance.

This url from the MyZaurus site should be what you need:

Thanks, but that\'s where I originally got the v1.32 ROM. I guess what I want to know is if I install Zynergy or any other ROM, can I just use the ROM available at myzaurus to restore the original 1.32 ROM?
Thanks again.

Yes. Flashing a ROM is pretty much the same. Ive probably done it 30 times on my 5500 with 6 different ROMs I\'ve tried.

I have just attempted to restore Sharp Rom to my 5600 after using the Kompany Rom. After flashing I don\'t see a lot of usual Sharp applications (that the Kompany kept as separate ipk files). Does anybody know how I can get my 1.32 back with all applications?

I am happy to report that I figured out the problem I refer to above. I could successfully restore Sharp ROM from tkc Rom.
After restoring the Sharp ROM I had to go to maintenance menu once again and choose FORMAT option. After reboot all original applications were restored and everything is \"fine and dandy\" (a quote from Forest Gump).
