Hello,
I will make some of the USB charging cables discussed in https://www.oesf.org/forums/index.php?showt...922&#entry91922 (https://www.oesf.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=13362&st=15&p=91922&#entry91922)
It is a cable which you connect to any USB port of any computer and to the DC input jack of the Zaurus, so you do not need an expensive charger where you have another computer.
RISK:
Please be aware that the power of the USB port is 1:1 wired to the Zaurus DC input, so make sure the USB you connect the Zaurus to really provides about 4.6 to 5.0 V (+/- 0.1V is okay, but not more tolerance, otherwise the ZAURUS MAY BE DAMAGED PERMANENTLY!)
The USB 2.0 specification tolerates voltages between 4.4V and 5.25V (www.USB.org). 5.25V may be too high for the Zaurus!
I considered voltage stabilization but all options I could find either need a too high input voltage (the low voltage drop stabilizers by National or Philips need at least 5.6V) or they fail due to the low input resistance of the Zaurus (simple Zener diode solutions fail because of this).
If anyone has a working solution which doesn't cost too much, please let me know.
Such a cable fits the SL-C3000, SL-C3100, SL-C1000 and probably many more (not sure about that, though - do they all have the same input jack?).
So my question: Who would be interested in buying such a cable from me for a price of 9.00 EURO plus shipping (1.00 EURO within Germany, 7.00 EURO worldwide, payment via Paypal or BIC/IBAN)?
I need to know so I can buy the proper amount of parts.

I think voting here should be finihsed in about a week (24th August) so I can order parts, make the cables and ship them within the next three weeks.

Just FYI, since there are now good alternatives (e.g. the PSP cabels which are available for a few bucks), I'll problably not sell any cables. Too much trouble for a product which is already on the market (and I could not offer it cheaper anyway).
So for those who have "subscribed" here for an order, do not feel bound to me, but rather buy a PSP cable :-)
However, if someone is definitely interested to buy a cable from me instead of using a PSP cable, drop me a PM and I'll consider it.
