Title: Resizing Partitions
Post by: johnw on August 20, 2005, 07:46:49 pm
I followed the directions for resizing my partition to 45MB as listed in thePDAXROM instructions found How to install PdaXrom (http://https://www.oesf.org/index.php?title=How_to_install_pdaXrom) here.  Now I want to go back to the way it was before, since pdaXrom doesn't seem to be a good solution for me.  According to the 6000 hardware info (http://https://www.oesf.org/index.php?title=6000_Hardware_Info) page:

Quote
    *  60MB of RAM available. RAM is not saved when the unit looses power.
    * 60MB of FLASH available (SL-6000D has 128MB). FLASH is available after the unit looses power.
o 30MB is mounted as '/'. On the SHARP ROM it's not available for modification. On most other ROMs you can change it as you see fit. When flashing the unit with updater.sh script this is the location where initrd.bin is copied to.
o 30MB is mounted as '/home'. This can be modified by anyone on any ROM, and is not modified when flashing the unit. Some modified scripts however such as the one provided with OpenZaurus can prompt you to format it.

I assume the 45MB in the pdaXrom install didn't affect the root partition.  Is that correct?  So what do I do now to get my 6000L back to factory spec?

Thanks.
