I use the portrait (480x640) orientation almost exclusively, and
was wondering if anyone has come up with a workaround to
allow the wallpaper to be oriented correctly.
I found a workaround myself, but it is tedious:
Install fvwm
Use the "Look and Feel" screen to set the desired wallpaper.
(From a terminal)
"killall openbox"
"fvwm" (which will orient the wallpaper correctly)
Control-C out of fvwm (when it is done initializing)
"openbox &" (which will restart openbox in the background)
Perhaps if I knew how to locate the "commands" or "scripts" that
are executed when buttons were pressed, I could determine what
openbox is using to install the wallpaper, and correct the command.
Anyway, I hope a better workaround exists, if not, enjoy mine!

Thanks.
Have you noticed that if your z is on for a while that the thin black line at the top of the default desktop leaves a smudge? (it shows if you rotate). A little while (hours sometimes) with a white screen on takes care of it-

Nope, I think I've heard a black line anomoly mentioned before though.
I never rotate unless someone asks me to see it rotate.

FYI - Seems you need to have "tile" mode selected, in order for
480x640 wallpaper images to appear correctly (with the
workaround I posted above.
