Title: Microphone Support? Can't Run Oss Mixer, Mixmos

Hi,

[ editied: I'm using an SL-6000L ]

I'm trying kphone, but having microphone problems.  The OSS Mixer app
never launches, and running mixmos produces:

# mixmos
Cannot read SOUND_MIXER_RECSRC.

Please, does anyone know how to overcome this, and get the mic working?

Yeh, I can't put in words how surprised I was not only finding that there
is no mic support for the 6000, but also at how I neglected to notice this
mentioned before.  This is almost a show stopper for this ROM, for me
anyway.  I hope it is an easy and quick fix, and just a small oversight,
and I'd love to hear about some progress this week.

Does anyone know exactly what device files, and protections should
exist to get the MIC working?

I've been experimenting with manually creating device files such
as /dev/dsp0 and /dev/mixer0 , but they get erased on a reboot,
and something causes softlinks to be created in dev:

  mixer -> sound/mixer
  dsp -> sound/dsp

Any info regarding this would be appreciated

So, can I pay someone to look at this?  I'd really like to be able to use
my MIC (and have the moxer run) on my SL-6000.

Well, I got layed off today, so the day is starting off pretty crappy...

As far as the new ROM, is there any estimate of when it will be available
for us to try it?

We are currently doing some testing of some of the changes made - there are quite a bit of stuff that needs testing.
