Title: Orinoco Drivers Broken In 3.5.3 Upgrade?
Post by: nexxusone on September 13, 2005, 08:05:57 am
Using OZ 3.5.3 (Opie) on my c860, after I go into package manager and "Upgrade", inserting my Symbol WiFi card causes the Z to crash. I learned about the "machine" feed on the forums, so after removing the orinoco-modules and orinoco-modules-cs packages I had installed (which stopped the crashing) I downloaded the orinoco-modules and orinoco-modules-cs ipkgs from the feed at:
http://www.openzaurus.org/official/unstabl...d/machine/c7x0/ (http://www.openzaurus.org/official/unstable/3.5.3/feed/machine/c7x0/)

only to learn that they're 2.4.x modules, and I'm running the (default) 2.6 kernel.
Has anyone else had this problem with upgrading? I don't mind reflashing, but I don't see what I could do differently the next time around to avoid this problem...

Suggestions?

Thanks!
