BTW, does anyone know how to determine the manufacturing date and/or other properties of these batteries?

I wonder for instance what does the 4-char string in the lower-right box of the battery mean?
On mine two batteries the strings are:
120A
H23A

[a href=\"http://www.laptopsforless.com/]Laptops for Less[/url] seem to have them for 29$ and they do ship outside the US. I just ordered 2, but shipping is outrageous at 41$ to Switzerland.

LFL has them for 15$ now. i ordered one. hehehe
but i'm 90% sure it is not original. but i can reassure you, it works fine (using another LFL battery currently)

Yes, the BL08 works fine in the C3100 and the battery from amazon holds a charge without any problem.
