i've had a 3100 for a few weeks (from conics.net) and have recently noticed that several applications (e.g., database, photostorage) still display the japanese fonts. could someone point me in the right direction??
one other thing;
is there anyway to delete internal applications (e.g., address book, email) as i am using other apps (KO/Pi, etc).
thanks much,
guy

i believe if you use the backup provided by trisoft and use that for a restore, you will be just fine.

thanks, but i was trying to avoid a complete restore (not to mention i don't have the z directly hooked up to my powerbook). i may try to get it synched with my sony/mandriva laptop later in the week.
meanwhile, i had hoped that there was only one font missing...
cheers,
guy

The database and photostorage apps were designed in Japanese, so unlike the rst of the Qtopia apps on the C-series Zaurus they can't be easily converted back to English (the default menus etc are in Japanese).
There are several versions of the photo storage program available with the Menus hexedited to be English, search these forums for them.
To completely delete the inbuilt apps you have to mount the / partition reaed-write, the other option is just to remove the .desktop files for them in /home/QtPalmtop/apps, but that only removes the icon not the whole app.
