Dear friends,
I got an HP 2100 Laserejet printer in here (with an IR port) and I was wondering how difficult would it be to get zaurus IR port to use it ...
any ideas, anyone ?

Have you figured out anything ?

Many people have successfully beamed simple files (like text files and jpeg images) to IR printers. You can beam files either with most filemanagers or using the Files tab in the latest Sharp ROMs.

what about laptops with IrDA .... what can you do with those ?

Speaking of wireless Printing... Has anybody heard any more about the PrintMe service announcement that Sharp made at last year\'s CES show??

yeah you can do networking through the IRDA port. You just need to know what to configure...well sort of.
I manages to log into the internet through the irda using a siemens cellphone that has irda capable. i log in just fine. the siemens s56 is bluetooth ready and irda...i can beam midifiles to my phone, pictures, and also ...............CONTACTS@!!!!! best of all, i can log into the net wirelessly through the irda from the middle of nowhere.!!!!!!!!!!!!
the only catch is that.............AT&T freakin charges 12 dollars a month for max 4mb of information transfers and its .03 cents per kilobyte after that.........
if you want more information about this.....email me at cresho@earthlink.net
