Hi,
In the manual, sharp comments to use the ea-bl08 battery only on zaurus sl=5600. Its also twice as expensive literally as the ea-bl06 (40-80+). They are both lithium ion batteries. How much longer lasting is the bl08 than the 06, and can it be charged by supplied charger? I can\'t imagine using the cheaper battery will hurt the zaurus, probably just give it less of a charge and have it last shorter. Seems like quite a price difference between the two.

How much longer lasting is the bl08 than the 06?
They are 850 mAh and 1700 mAh accumulators, respectively, so it would last exactly twice as long, at any given load.

Thanks for reply. Ah, so thats why double the price, double the time. Now, to try to find a discount on the higher end battery.
Thank you

Now, the main issue is whether 2 batteries on this are impt.
If you are home or somewhere with ac, you are set.
If not, you get about 4 hours (??) with fully charged
If you have to use spare, you have to charge the battery in the zaurus as well, meaning powering down, opening back, switching batteries and rebooting. True? Do most sl-5600 users have spares , is it worth $80?

Does the ea-bl06 even work with the 5600? Thats the battery that goes with the zaurus 5500. Is it the same voltage? Do the contacts line up? Will it stay in place even though the battery holder for the 5600 won\'t hold it firm since it is half the physical size of the bl08?
I don\'t know the answers but they are things to ponder...
