Title: Installing Sharp 3.13 Rom

I'm a newb so i really dont know what i'm doing but i seem to be having updating to the 3.13 sharp rom.  I successfully did the 3.10 upgrade and found out there was a 3.13.  

Now here is my problem i can sync my device with my windows xp no problem but when i try to do the update it says i cannot connect to the zaurus. It was the same thing with the 3.10 rom installion but i did something and it worked, now i just dont know what i did.

Am i supposed to have both those drivers install (the USB and network adapter,)because i can only see one, and when i turn tcip USB it then runs the network adapter, but i still cant install

Can anyone help me out

what rom did you originally update from?  the drivers for the 2.xx on windows are different than the drivers for the 3.xx roms.  on xp you'll need to uninstall the old zaurus stuff and get the new(er) zaurus drivers.  I suggest downloading the cd from myzaurus.com.  that might be it...

I updated from a 2.xx but i'm using the drivers off the myszaurus site.

The drivers from that are the 3.10 roms udate they dont have the 3.13 update.

I've even tried unistalling all the old stuff several times and using the 3.13 cd drivers and it still doesnt work, i can sync but cant do the update.

Is it possible to do it throuhg a CF,  all there is a setup in the updaterom folder nothing else.

Here is where I got the Sharp 3.13 ROM. http://www.elsix.org/downloads/CDI-v313.zip (http://www.elsix.org/downloads/CDI-v313.zip), I just had to run the update program from the autorun section on the CD( I burned everything in the zip file to a CD). Hope this helps!

yes that's extactly where i got mine, and that is the one that does not work, any way of doing it from the cf card from that update?

I don't know about a CF card update. I jsut had to plug mine Z in, and rn the update software. You have 3.10? The Link I pointed you to is 3.13

Yes i have 3.10 updated on my Z, and i have the 3.13 cd downloaded, which i got from the same link you posted.


What the difference between the 3.13 and 3.10 rom anyways
