Title: How To Start Up Applications With Maximized Window
Post by: albertr on October 08, 2005, 07:20:03 pm
Sorry for stupid question, I'm not experienced in X windows api and openbox window manager... Is it possible to start up any application with its window maximazed? Either via passing a command line parameter or maybe using some helper application like kstart in KDE?

I think it's not possible with openbox alone.

One workaround could be to use Xresources and  set the geometry for each app lications, but it's not exactly maximized.

Other are to use fvwm (IIRC) or matchboxwm.

There is also a shorcut defined by default (Ctrl-Alt-m)  to maximize the current window.
