Title: Mysql 4.1 And Php4
Post by: congrio on October 09, 2005, 11:55:14 am
Hi,

I have installed apache 1.3, php4 and mysql 4.1 in my Z 6000L with openzaurus 3.5.3.

Apache and php4 works fine, and mysql too (if i use it from mysqladmin or so). But when i try to connect from a php page, i cant. I think that there is no adecuate library to use for connect to 4.1 version.

Change to 4.0 version is not an option to me because i need 4.1

What can i do?

Thanks in advance and excuse my very bad english.

Hi Congrio,

Can I get a link for the familiar feed? I found
http://familiar.handhelds.org/familiar/feeds (http://familiar.handhelds.org/familiar/feeds)

but couldn't find any mysql ipk there. I'd appreciate it if you can help direct me to it. I know a lot of other users here have been asking about getting MySQL 4.1+/5.0+ runningon the Z.

Thanks!

keep in mind that familiar packages won't install under Cacko, but it is always possible to build those apps for Cacko.

can you help direct me on how to build MySQL 4.1 on Cacko? I'd appreciate any help!!

Also, is there such a thing as a 'developer's ROM'? Whether it's Cacko or pdaxrom.. Just one ROM I can flash my Zaurus so that I'll have all the developer's tools like Perl (with LWP), PHP, Apache, Mysql, java..

If not, I'd like to submit that idea!
If anyone out there has this already, please, can I have your backup so I can clone your Z?

either build a cross compiler on a linux box and cross compile mysql there, or use one of the developer loop images for cacko/sharp (search for zgcc or devimage) and install them on your Z. with those images mounted and configured, you can compile apps directly on your Z, but it will take much longer since your Z probably does not have as much CPU power and memory as your desktop PC.

my personal image I am working on contains gcc/java/perl and i am planning on adding ruby

WOAH WOAH WOAH! Wawawee Wah! /borat

Sooooo... any chance I can get a copy of that image?

I'm still pretty newb so excuse me if this is a bad question: Can I use your image for a C3100 if I have a C1000? And what ROM are you using? According to your signature, you're using the Stock Japanese ROM?
