Does anyone have a current sprintpcs or verizon wireless phone they succesfully use with their Z to get internet access? I prefer to use irda for this since carrying cables kind of defeats the purpose. Given the odd restrictions and problems with the t608 I don\'t think it is an option.
I don\'t see any non-palm irda capable phones on the sprint lineup - hopefully someone will correct me.
(I currently have a sanyo 8100 with sprint)
Thanks, Jon

I have had NO luck with a Verizon phone (LG VX3100 and the SDG Systems cable - http://www.sdgsystems.com/catalog/product_...products_id=44) (http://www.sdgsystems.com/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=1_21&products_id=44)).
I got as far as at least getting the Zaurus (5600) to dial, but couldn\'t connect to anything. Have replaced the phone and now can\'t even get it to dial. May return the cable if SDG will let me.

I\'m currently using a LG VX10 (now discontinued) with Verizon service. Using an SDG cable I can connect my 5600 and 760(Sharp and Cacko QT roms respectively) at about 14.4kb. If I subscribed to the \"National Access\" plan I should get ISDN speeds but I can\'t verify that. As it is, it works well enough for me at do email etc.

i\'ve got Sprint PCS (Vision service) with an LG5350 and have no problems getting a connection with my Zaurus (5500). using OZ3.2, i just installed 3.3.5 but i haven\'t check to see if that works yet, don\'t see why it shouldn\'t.
i don\'t think Sprint sells this phone anymore (maybe this is why?).

what settings and isp do you use with the LG VX10?

I have a LG5350 and haven\'t been able to get it to work. what kind of cable are you using?

I\'m using the aerlink npc for lg phones from sdg systems. The settings vary slightly between my sl5600 and c760. After installing the supplied ipk, I set up a network profile. On the 5600, the type is \"1xrtt\" I think (I just installed oz on the 5600 so this is from memory). On the 760, it is a normal ppp dialup. My dial # is \"#777\". The rest of the parameters are default with username and password left blank.
My internet access is thru verizon since I have mobile web set up for the vx10. Since I don\'t subscribe to their high speed plan, I am limited to about 14.4kb access.
On another note, when it is time for another cell phone, unless Verizon is offering bluetooth, I will be looking for another service provider. fwiw.
