Seeing as Cacko for the C1000 seems no closer now than it was when I bought my Zaurus some months back, what is the best way to uninstall some of the default applications from the stock sharp rom? (with a view to freeing as much space as poss)

same needs.. I saw that there is a need to umount / mount rw the root partition.
Then it seems possible to manually remove the files from the rom, i m not sure of the result and i have not tested this yet. I would appreciate some details about this ??

not sure if you would gain much, but do you know the format that the backup rom is kept in? If you did you could edit it "offline" then do the install that way
