Title: Which Sharp Rom Install?

Howdy.

Just got a refurbished 5500, and I'd very much like to flash the rom to the 3.1 upgrade.  However, I noticed that the myzaurus site has two install packs: one supposedly installs from an .exe file on your pc; the other is for installation on a cf card.  I haven't found a thread discussing the merits of either; or, rather, it seems that the majority of people do the cf install.  Has anyone tried the other?  Is there some reason not to use it?

Well, my impatience bagged me: I tried the pc install.

Good news, it worked perfectly!  A very painless rom update.

I must say, v3 kicks the ass of 2.38.  I stuck in my linksys wf12 and heypresto, there was the great intraweb (speedily) at my fingertips...
