Title: Textmaker + Usb-mouse-pointer
Post by: wmadan on October 20, 2005, 10:48:57 pm
I am running the standard Sharp ROM on my C1000 with the usb-mouse-pointer .1 installed. When I run Textmaker and attempt to navigate the menus with my usb mouse, the screen doesn't redraw correctly and the menu items appear garbled and disjointed. As far as I can tell, this is the only program I use that doesn't behave well with the usb mouse.

The mouse works within TexMaker o.k. I can highlight text, click on toolbar buttons, etc. The mouse is a little slow, but other than that it is fine.

Is this an issue for anyone and can you point me to a fix?

Thanks for your time,
Bill

hmmm...

as far as i can tell, the zaurus screen does not refresh at all.  That is why your screen looks garbled.  I noticed it when i edited the clock png and the white area becomes scared with the clock hands since there is no refresh going on at any time unless you click on home or the tabs.

It is not the textmaker causing this.

just my opinion.

I had the same problem. Discussed it a bit over here: https://www.oesf.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=15284&hl= (https://www.oesf.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=15284&hl=)

but didn't find a solution (except to use the keyboard to navigate the menus -- I have a Fellowes USB keyboard and it just so happens that the standard Zaurus keymapping maps the menu to the the "Windows" key on that keyboard. Plus there are pretty good keyboard shortcuts you can use like Ctrl+O for Open File, etc.)

Well, glad to know this is a known problem. Yes, I navigate the menus with the keyboad instead, and it works acceptably. But it would be nice to fix this bug so I could use the mouse.

Cresho,

I just experimented opening several files with spaces in the filenames. The only difference was the files were saved as .doc in Office XP, not in rtf like you. All of my files opened without a hitch.
