I am also a bit confused about the status of Cacko 1.23 for the C3000 - I was quite sure the work was mainly done for this platform (being the first Z to be with a built in drive) just to find out we got cacko for C1000 and C3100 - somehow avoiding the C3000 getting this much requested update.

Ho mighty forum - will we ever see a version of Cacko that's not beta for the C3000
I, for sure, would like to know.

Anton has a 1000 and was able to make the cacko rom for the 1000.  The 3100 was an easy port for him because the 3100 was basically a 1000 with hdd.

The 3000 on the other hand is a unique setup.  Iansmith has supposedly taken on the task of porting the cacko rom.  The port is dependant on Iandsmith's free time.

As said above, the 3000 is a completely different beast to almost all other Zs in that the majority of the OS is held on disc rather than in ROM, which makes it a bit more tricky...  Not an insurmountable problem, but as Anton doesn't have the device, iamasmith is helping with the conversion.
