Title: Sold: Selling My C3000 On Ebay
Post by: kurochka on November 01, 2005, 03:12:03 pm
No, I am not leaving ZZ (Zaurus Zone).  I just want to upgrade to C3100 and need to sell this one.  Unlike some folks here at oesf, I can't afford to keep every single model of Z.  Originally, I had 5600, which was sold to buy C3000.  Now this.  Unless somebody tells me that a new model is coming out soon, I am going for C3100.

Please, see my listing on ebay.com.  Enter 5825625528 into the search dialog.  I am shipping overseas but in that case I highly recommend insurance (unless you are afraid of local taxes).  I have recently sold a Simpad to a guy in Spain.  It arrived unharmed but you never know.

I would think it is still way to expensive... I am curious to see if it sells...

I also think that all Zaurii are way too expensive.  However, you and I and many folks here find reasons to part with cash and buy these gadgets.  Why in the world would we do that when we can buy a brand new laptop for the money?

It's more expensive that C1000 (at least from some suppliers) and less expensive than C3100 (in U.S. market).  This puts the unit right in the correct price range where it belongs (better than C1000, worse than C3100).  If you have noticed Zaurii do not depreciate that fast outside Japan.  I was able to sell my 5600 for more than I originally paid for it.

It has been gently and lovingly used.  The other C3000 offerings on the ebay appear to be more expensive and they are few.  The unit is located in the US and is ready to be shipped.

If it does not sell, then I will not be able to buy C3100 and will just keep using C3000.  The urge for the latest model will have to wait

It appears that people are willing to pay more than $500 for a C3000.  I sold for $500.  However, the auction #5826200407 ended with buy it now for $575 +$15 shipping.  I think Z's are a good investment in technology - they do not lose all of its value the moment you buy it.
