ok, I have tweaked the version of memory plugin from the cacko site, I have changed the /home/.swapfile to /hdd3/.swapfile and included swapfile sizes to 96mb, now does anyone want to tell me how I can "easily" repackage this? Or would someone like to do this for me. It has been tested and works as expected.

could you not have it use a config file like /etc/memoryplugin.conf so that it'd be easy to change it rather than have a new version for every device?
(that is, I propose you create/use a config file, as far as I know there isn't one already)

I used a hex editor to make the changes, if I would grab the source code and set up a cross compiler on my ubuntu box suppose i could figure out something(in about 2-3 months) since I dont know c or whatever language its written in

actually I packaged it, but havent tested it, only if someone could make a zaurus emulator(or have they)?
-
try this for easy packaging http://www.users.on.net/~hluc/myZaurus/custom.html#ipktools (http://www.users.on.net/~hluc/myZaurus/custom.html#ipktools)
as for a Z emulator, i think there is one for the 5500 model but none for the clamshells yet.
i downloaded it once and was planning to install it to test out, but then realised that I didn't have a linux workstation to install it to. all my workstations are running windows my Zs are my only linux workstations

I would like to try your ipktools_0.3.1_arm.ipk but I get a '404 Not Found' when I try to d/l it? The pico ipk listed above it works... so I don't believe it's me? Can you check it out when you have time?
Thanks
Greg
