Title: Right Shift Key And Period

How can I fix it so I can use a period and use the right shift key when I'm not in X? I don't like using inputconfig because it's horribly flakey. Is there another tool or a link where re-mapping keys is explained. Is that what I'm trying to do? Is it called something else? I gotta sleep now...
