Hi,
www.debianhelp.co.uk is a web site that automatically detects and displays your computer's IP address. This can be helpful for configuring a computer on a network, setting up communications software, or troubleshooting an Internet connection. Your Internet Service Provider or IT help desk may ask you to visit this site when you're having problems with your Internet connection

Thanks

What's wrong with typing ipconfig in windows or ifconfig in linux or os x?
-
The first one will give your WAN address and IP(F)config gives the LAN address

Hmmm. A traceroute (Linux) / tracert (Win) will show you all IP adresses. And a server side script will also only show the WAN adress. If it might show the private adress I would suggest to look if you are sitting next to the server...
