I checked out your thread in the hardware section but it looks like people are more interested in building one. I've gotten kphone working with fwd and now I need a good headset to use it.
I did some shopping today and now know of two that don't work
I bought a 3/32 to 1/8 gender bender at rat shack (274-398)
And a Hands free set there as well (43-1901) but got no sound and the mic didn't work. I get the feeling the mic is on the right and the earphone is on the left for this one.
I also tried a an earglove sport stereo at Best Buy. it comes with a 2.5mm to 3.5mm converter dongle but I got sound out of the right side but the mic was in the left ear bud not the mic...
Needless to say they are both going back tomorrow.
I would love to hear of any that work with or without the gender bender.

Ok, I admit to some serious stupidity:)
The 3/32 to 1/8 adapter I got was a stereo to mono adapter (274-398). D'oh. So don't get that one
I went back and returned the two headsets I got before and got a Plantronics M40 headset ($13) and went back to rat shack and got a 3/32 to 1/8 STEREO adapter (274-397) and all works! Just tested it on the FWD echo server line. One thing, the gender bender is very long, (over an inch long) and sticks out quite a bit.

I got a 2.5mm to 3.5mm adapter from Radioshack and I bought a cheap cellphone headset. And, to be honest, I have not tried yet VoIP yet, since there are so many things to learn / discover about the C3100... Just thought about it yesterday, that VoIP should now be next on my "experiment" list...

I am currently on a business trip to Japan and have been using VOIP through FWD to call the office on the 800 number. It works great. I had a couple of problems though, e.g. The Z would go into suspend mode after 5 minutes of talking and would require a reboot to get everything working again. Fixed that by upping the setting in the lighting applet , and you really can't have anything else going or your sound will start crackling. No multitasking while using it, no touching the screen...
Other than that this is great. I hang out in the Starbucks, talking to the office on the Z:)
