I would be eternally grateful if someone could help in getting an IOGEAR GBU211 USB Bluetooth dongle recognized and configured for the Opie Bluetooth Manager (in 3.5.4). So far I have managed to install the proper packages from asm-nai's feed (http://naismith.sakura.ne.jp/feed/) for USB host, but am not sure what else is needed to set up the bluetooth adapter. The dongle has a blue light which turns on when plugged in, so I know it is getting power; dmesg then shows "a new full speed USB device using pxa27x-ohci and address 2"
Based on this document (http://www.holtmann.org/linux/bluetooth/features.html), the GBU211 should be supported under BlueZ (all the IOGEAR adapters use the same Broadcom chipset)

The IOGEAR GBU211 uses the Broadcom Bluetonium 2035 chipset, which according to the BlueZ site (http://www.bluez.org/drivers.html) requires a firmware download to work. I have now installed the kernel-modules-bcm203x-2.6 package. Once I modprobe hci_usb and bcm203x, hcifonfig will shows my USB bluetooth adapter's info. I can also find my phone with hcitool.
However, I still do not know how to set up the bluetooth adapter for use with Opie's Bluetooth Manager GUI. How do I determine the rfcomm and channel numbers? Bluetooth Manager is rejecting any values I enter into the Rfcomm Bind table (the table is blank when next viewed). Perhaps Opie's Bluetooth Manager is non-fuctional at this point, as it is newly added with the 3.5.4 release-candidate.
