i just got the microinnovations wireless kb (which is the pocketop) and it works great. i\'m using this app:
http://my-zaurus.narod.ru/rotate.html (http://my-zaurus.narod.ru/rotate.html)
to rotate the screen, and it works, but it (a) takes awhile to do it and ( reboots the machine. is there another app that anyone is using for screen rotation that\'s a little better? not being too picky, just don\'t want to reboot every time if at all possible.
thanks!

Well, you could:
a) Switch to OpenZaurus with Opie, it has a built-in on-the-fly rotation
Replace your Qtopia version with Qtopia 1.7, I think that it supports rotation (you\'d have to rebuild your rom for this)
c) There\'s another rotation app out there called \"qpe-rotation\", which doesn\'t rotate everything currently running, but will let you set the default rotation for the next app you start.
My vote is to go with OpenZaurus, if you are knowledgeable enough about linux.

Hmmm. Seems a lot of folks say OpenZ is the way to go. Will I have a problem syncing with a Windows PC if I make the switch? I\'m gradually moving towards a Desktop Linux system, but it\'s slow going.

OpenZaurus\'s pim apps are based off the ones used for the older Sharp 2.38 rom (sl-5500), so you will have to use the sync app for that version. The newer 3.1 rom (and the version for the 5600) uses a different sync format. So, if you have a 5600, you\'d have to download the older intellisync version.
