Title: Best Collie Ram Allocation
Post by: togomenu on December 21, 2005, 11:40:55 am
I noticed there were a few variants to the collie feed as far as RAM allocation goes.  To get the most space for ipks and the easiest to manipulate after instillation, which would you guys recommend?

24-8
32-0
32-32
40-24
48-16
58-6
64-0

Thanks everybody.

If you have an SD/MMC card which you can format as ext2 and leave in the machine (to install stuff to as the collie flash is pretty full after an install) I'd go for the 64-0 kernel to give yourself as much memory (for running things that is) as possible.

Great, this is just what I was wondering.  Is there an option for this?  I'm experienced with flasihng the ROM, but not regulating collie to the SD.  Is that an option at first boot?  I don't recall seeing that.
